                                  Thaddeus

                       Chapter 1.Thaddeus a Boy

There was a boy named Thaddeus who was eight years old and wanted to grow up to be an inventor.  “Thaddeus makes very good choices”, his father would say.  It was a good choice, because if his parents needed something he would solve the problem and build something.  He would help his neighbors too.  He was a genius.

Chapter 2.A Bad Day at School

One day of school, his bus came by his house late.  He waited for a while, when suddenly he heard the bus come down the corner. When he got to school, the kids’ laughed at him.  One of them said, “Why didn’t you make a car for yourself?”  “Why didn’t you make something to get here,” said another.  He felt ashamed.  When he got home, he told his parents about everything that happened.

Chapter 3.An Escape from School

The next morning, when his mom called him down for breakfast he didn’t come down.  Since his friend Veronica was over for the night she went upstairs to get him. Then suddenly she ran down stairs with a piece of paper in her hand.  Veronica gave the piece of paper to Thaddeus’s mother.  Than she read:

Dear family,

Thinking about what happened yesterday at school.  I don’t think that this is the place for me.  Last night I built a compass so that I could go back in time or to another world.  I’ll visit you sometime.  I won’t forget.  If you want to write a note to me, then put it on my bed.  I won’t forget the family.

Love,

Thaddeus

Chapter 4.The First Note

The next morning there was a note on the bed from Thaddeus.  When his mother was going to put a note for Thaddeus on his bed she found a note from him. It said that he might visit next week.  It also said that life was a little easier for him and he’ll tell her about it.  This was the beginning of the note sending.

Chapter 5.Life in the new world

The world Thaddeus said that was easier for him really was, but it was also strange.  School was every other day.  Everyone was doing something.  The most odd thing was that people were able

to drive over 100 miles per hour.  People would offer help whenever they saw someone in need of help, even to strangers.  Thaddeus thought it was all just a little strange to him.  Then he thought he would get used to it anyway.

Chapter 6.Thaddeus Meets Alexander

One day while Thaddeus was looking for a place to build a house in the strange world he saw a kid.  He knew the kid wasn’t from his school.  Thaddeus went up to him and said, “Hello my name is Thaddeus, what’s yours?”  The boy replied, “My name is Alexander, nice to meet you.  You look pretty smart.”  “Thank you.  In fact, I’m a genius,” said Thaddeus.  Alexander asked excitedly, “What’s one thousand times two divided by three –?”  “Hold it, I’m not that kind of genius; I’m an inventor,” said Thaddeus.  “Oh,” said Alexander sadly.  Thaddeus asked in soft voice, “What’s the matter Alexander?”  Alexander replied, “This one kid at school laugh’s at me every time I get a math problem wrong, and the teacher does not care about it.”  “That’s sad to know,” Thaddeus said.  They were very good friends.  Thaddeus had someone to be with in the strange and interesting world from then on.

Chapter 7.The rescue

One day Thaddeus was walking along the streets, when suddenly he saw a lady running after a wolf that was running after a dog.  He began to follow them.  Suddenly he had an idea to build a trap. He got all the materiel, and then started to build the trap.  By the time he was done the dog jumped over the trap and the wolf fell in.  The lady Thanked Thaddeus for saving her dog.  She told Thaddeus that her name was Matilda, but she was known as Aunt Matilda, instead of Matilda.  When the lady thanked Thaddeus for saving her dog it reminded him of his parents thanking him for helping them solve the problems.

Chapter 8.Thaddeus meets the Family

The next week Thaddeus came to Alexander’s house and he was introduced to the family.  Alexander had one little brother and parents. His parent’s names were James and Ashley.  His little brother’s name was Caleb.  Caleb looked very interested in the things Thaddeus told him about.  Thaddeus spent the rest of the day at Alexander’s house.

Chapter 9.A Vacation

The next day Thaddeus went to his house to visit his family.  While he was there he said, “Mom, Dad, you should come to my world for vacation this year and the next and the…” then his Dad said, “Wait a second son, we already planned to go to your grandpa’s this year,” “But Dad,” said Thaddeus, “No buts son,” said his Dad.  “Ok,” Thaddeus replied sadly.  “But next year we’ll all go to your world,” Thaddeus’s father said.  “Yes!” Thaddeus said excitedly.

After Thaddeus’s parents went to his grandpa’s for vacation, Thaddeus was excited.

When the next year came, Thaddeus was ready and came to parents’ house.  To his surprise, his parents were ready to go.  This was their first time of going to where Thaddeus lived in another world.  Thaddeus named a list of things they needed.  They had everything they needed already packed.  Thaddeus got his compass and pressed a button and they disappeared into the world where Thaddeus lived.  It was very different from the world his parents lived.  It was amazing to them when they got to the house they settled in. Then they started their vacation. They stayed for a week.  The next week the parents didn’t want to go home without him.  Thaddeus was only nine years old, how could he stay on the strange world by himself?  Then he said, “Mom, Dad, before we go home I want to have you meet my friends.”

Chapter 10.The Good Bye Present

The three of them went to Alexander’s house when they got there, Thaddeus’s parents were introduced to the family.  After that Thaddeus said, “My family is going to go back to the world we came from.  I wanted to give this to you, Alexander; this is a special compass, you really earn it for being my best friend.  If you want to go to my house, you press the Home button.  If you want to go to Your Home, press the A.H. button; that stands for Alexander’s Home.”  Then Alexander said, “Thank you, this is a great present: a great Good Bye present!”  “We must be going now.  Good bye.”  Then Thaddeus and his parents held each other’s hands and Thaddeus pressed a button, and like lighting they disappeared to their world, where they belonged.
